Hollywood Bowl Star Wars for Rileys Birthday

Last night we celebrated Riley's ninth birthday at the Hollywood Bowl. The kids had a great time. We had a picnic dinner on the grounds outside then enjoyed the show. We had a babysitter that night (our second time ever, the first being last week) so that made it even better because we were able to just sit back and enjoy. Here is a little about the show. I made the shirts for the kids the morning of the show. I had been planning on making them for a couple months now but that's how I roll these days. I think I like the thrill of a deadline.

On Friday, June 3 and Saturday June 4, 2011, the famed amphitheater will host the unique multi-media event featuring music from all six of John Williams' epic Star Wars scores. Narrated live by Anthony Daniels (the actor who portrayed C-3PO in all six films), the production features principal conductor Dirk Brossé leading the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and choir, accompanied by specially edited footage from the films displayed on a three-story-tall, high-definition LED super-screen -- one of the largest ever put on tour. The live music and film elements are synchronized in order to create a full multi-media, one-of-kind Star Wars experience.
